Good early to mid 18th century Dutch solid walnut cabriole leg hall chair. Front cabriole shaped legs with carved knees and pad feet, united by turned stretchers near the base. Nice shape back splat with nice shape and carved top rail. Wooden seat with rounded edges. The chair is a nice mellow colour with waxed finish. Would look really nice in a hallway.
There are one or two old worm holes in places and the wooden seat might be an old replacement, it is hard to tell for sure but the chair has definitely always had a wooden seat as it is grooved in at the back.
