Highly unusual design early 19th century Regency mahogany sabre leg writing table. This most unusual table is a long octagonal shape with large moulded sabre legs terminating in brass socket and ball type castors. The table has two full width drawers which are mahogany lined, one on either long side. Very nice gilt tooled leather top and a nicely moulded and shaped carcass. Fully finished all round so it is meant to be free standing. Would look lovely in a large hallway or library. The table is in good condition except for some shrinkage around the top edge mouldings. The table is a nice colour with waxed finish.
