Early Victorian Scottish (probably Edinburgh made) burr walnut and solid walnut 3 door wardrobe. The wardrobe is all veneered in tight burr walnut except the gables which are solid walnut. The wardrobe has three doors with a mirror in the centre door. All the doors have a large moulding applied with a carved decorative top part. The cornice is a really nice shape and compliments the wardrobe lovely. The wardrobe stands on a plinth base.
The wardrobe is fully fitted inside which is all original. The right hand side has drawers and trays which are all ash lined with original gilded brass handles. The middle and left hand sections are fully open with hanging space and a large double drawer to the base. The hanging space has its original gilded brass hooks plus a later added horizontal hanging bar.
The wardrobe is in good clean condition with hardly any veneer chips to the outside, there is one small crack at one of the hinges. The inside also would probably need re-lining as the original pink silk material is not in great condition.
