SUPERB early to mid 19th century silver plated desk or ink stand. This items matches the silver plated tea caddy exactly and was obviously bought at the same time.Silver plated on copper to the highest standard. Lovely shape box with lift up lid to reveal the original ink bottle inside and round ball feet to the base. The front section is ciurve shaped to support pens. The box has a drawer to the base obviously for storing pen nibs etc. The box is in very good condition except for the right hand side of the drawer front needs silver soldering as it is coming away from the drawer side slightly. Very nice item of the highest quality.
