Nice neat size 35" wide early Georgian walnut veneered bureau of good colour. Four long drawers with 4 piece mirrored walnut veneer to the fronts with cock beaded edge. The drawers are all pine lined with original steel locks and lovely original brass plate handles and escutions. The bureau stands on its original shaped bracket feet. The fall of the bureau is also veneered in 4 pieces with cross banding and moulded edge. The top is also 4 pieces. The bureau interior is pleasant with drawers and pigeon holes and a felt / baize writing area.
The bureau is in pretty good condition for its age, there are a few old veneer repairs as to be expected but overall it is in pretty good original condition. Lovely set of original handles.
The bureau is a good colour with rich patina and waxed finish.
