Early, large size, Scottish Wemyss Ware twin handled bowl decorated in black hens and black cockerels amongst the grass. Probably the bottom half of a sponge bowl set, missing the top inset part, still a vey nice piece as it is. Painting is pretty good for black hens as sometimes it can be very poor. Has the T. Goode Wemyss mark to the base. No damage or repairs that I can see.
SIZE; 7 1/2" diameter plus the handles by 3 3/4" high
