Fine 18th century George 3rd satinwood and inlaid tea caddy. The caddy has two inlaid marquetry conch shells to the front and an inlaid oval marquetry panel to the top. The caddy has a very fancy boxwood, ebony and kingwood banding around the outer edges. Original diamond shape bone escution and original brass lock. The inside has its foil but it is starting to peel. Original green baize to the base.
The box is in very good condition apart from a couple of very small pieces of missing boxwood line on the top that could be easily restored if required. The box is a lovely colour with waxed finish.
