Early 19th century Scottish landscape painting by Patrick Nasmyth (born Edinburgh 1787, Died London 1831). Famous Scottish family of landscape artists. This example is painted on an early oak panel and signed to the bottom right corner. The frame is not the best and really wants to be re-framed. Painting is in good order just a couple of very small flecks easily restored. Good subject and very typical of the artists work.
SIZE; Overall size is 22" by 17". Actualy painting size is 16" by 11 1/2".
